Who we are

About Magnesium Science

Magnesium Science is an independent, evidence-first resource focused on a single ingredient: magnesium. We read the published human research, summarize what individual studies and pooled analyses report, and link to the primary sources so you can check them yourself.

What we do

  • Summarize peer-reviewed and authoritative evidence on magnesium, with links to the original sources.
  • Compare widely available magnesium products on form, labeled dose, transparency, and independent testing.
  • State the limits of the evidence plainly, including who it applies to and who it does not.

The research library is where we preserve study populations, interventions, outcomes, and limitations in detail. The FAQ library turns narrower questions into evidence-bounded answers, while the guides provide orientation and route readers to the relevant evidence rather than replacing it.

How a page gets published

Factual health statements are expected to stay within the claims supported by the site’s approved source records. We distinguish research findings from product-label facts, popularity signals, and commercial data. When evidence is mixed, indirect, population-specific, or based on a limited number of trials, the page should say so rather than generalize beyond the studied evidence.

Our published methodology explains how evidence and product comparisons are handled. Content carries authorship information so responsibility is visible, and a separate reviewer is named only when a review of that specific page has actually been completed and recorded.

How we stay honest

We are funded in part by affiliate commissions from retail links, which we disclose. Commerce never decides our editorial rankings: products become eligible for a comparison based on current Amazon popularity, but they are ranked by our own published methodology, not by commissions. We describe how each product was evaluated and what we could not verify.

Who creates our content

Each article identifies its responsible author and publication date. See the editorial team and authorship page for areas of focus, publishing responsibilities, and the methods used to maintain this site. A reviewer is listed only when a separate review of that specific page has been completed and recorded.

How updates work

Pages are revised when their supporting evidence, interpretation, or verified product information materially changes. Publication and update dates are intended to describe real editorial changes, not routine deployments. Product availability or other commerce data can change independently from the scientific evidence, so those signals are kept conceptually separate wherever the page exposes them.

What we are not

Nothing on Magnesium Science is medical advice, and our pages are not medically or doctor reviewed, clinically proven, or a substitute for guidance from a qualified professional. Evidence may not apply to every person, product, dose, or health condition.
